Dear Shli;
I was disappointed there's no CO scene in the final, we just heard Crowen have a little thought about each other
Owen :Everywhere I look, I expect to see her, she’s not even gone and I miss her already
Cristina:Owen has got to have figured out we’re missing, I know he sent someone
too surprised Teddy's gone,OMG! it's strange I was going to miss Teddy?? her last speech to Owen is powerful!! "fight for her !!" Yes!! she said all CO fans want to say !
who will be new Cardio God ? so Cristina will stay in SGMW in order to take over Teddy's project ? or Mer? or Owen?
looking forward to reading your next review whatever you write ep24 ?or ep19/20? !
Have a wonderful summer vacation!!

Aw, thanks, ChaseNRain! (I'm going to respond to you here versus at Grey's Gabble because I am going through these ones first. Lol.)

1. I'm not ready for Cristina and Owen to end. Seriously, they are the only reason I tune in these days. Lol.

2. I always remember Cristina telling Owen how she's insensitive at times but she's not oblivious. And I think that applies here. She's been a bit of both in her treatment of Owen earlier this season, thinking that the abortion issue (and what it represented) was all swept under the rug, never to be discussed again. (And unfortunately, I fear it won't be. Because it seems the writers have forgotten that and have moved on.) So, I think she needed it spelled out for her that she was not really reciprocating in her marriage.

3. Interesting! I didn't think of it that way. And I agree about his heart being broken at the end because her coming to him had given him hope.

4. I know! I can't wait!

5. If they are going to have Cristina change her mind, it will have to be her that initiates it. Definitely.

6. That's a good theory! Lexie has been out of the picture most of the season until these last few episodes when she declared her love for Mark. And that's always a bad sign...

Hey Raachel!

1. Love this answer about the question mark and what it suggested. Yeah. I got confused because Owen says that Cristina is leaving him. But then she considered staying at Seattle Grace for Owen (not because of the program). And I saw her "leaving" Owen the same way she was "leaving" Meredith – both going their own way but never really leaving each other on an emotional level. I don't know. We'll find out in the next episode.

2. Yeah, the whole thing with Nurse Emily definitely put things into perspective for Cristina. What with Owen pulling away and this woman seemingly getting closer, Cristina was faced with a "threat" – or so she thought. And I agree that Cristina saw this more of a threat than the situation with Teddy. Funnily enough. You'd assume the opposite.

3. I wish she'd been more clear, too. But I think it was kept purposely vague because Shonda didn't want to show her hand so soon. She does love to torture the fans.

4. You're right in that this plane crash does help keep the doctors at Seattle Grace. But I, too, hope for it to affect Cristina in a way where she is given this second chance at life. And she'll (again) have a front row seat to seeing Meredith being devastated over not being able to find her husband. And maybe that will trigger her own feelings toward Owen and fearing the loss of him in her life. (This really is like the gunman thing all over again.) Here's hoping it has a more permanent effect and that Shonda knows how to change her tune. Just this once. Too naive?

5. I agree. I think it's more important that we see Cristina and Owen together, on the same page, having this relationship than them having a baby. Right now, they're not on the same page. And they're totally on rocky foundation.

6. Interesting theory! At first I thought Shonda was throwing us off with the plane crash and that it wasn't one of those doctors who was actually going to die. But then, the promos keep saying how one of those six will die. So, there went that idea. I can see someone at the hospital dying too (not necessarily being one of the doctors).

I also hope for a good Cristina/Owen scene. I just hope we see the plane crash victims make it back to the hospital because if they don't ever intersect then I'm going to be pissed. And I will throw tomatoes at the screen or maybe send them via fanmail. Lol.

You're so welcome, Nelly! I'm just glad you guys are so patient with me. :)

1. Yeah, Owen is heartbroken as he erases his wife's name. And then you see this look on Cristina's face with the sentiment you said: wondering if she made the right choice. Of course, shortly afterwards, she's flying out of a plane. So....

2. I agree. :)

3. Haha, I forgot the clarifying powers of Cristina/Owen sex. Try to sell that in a bottle! I would also like to see it as a sign of eventual reunion. Even if this was a goodbye.

4. Me, too. Me, too.

5. I'm not going to lie. Even though the evidence seems to be pointing otherwise, I still haven't given up hope for a Cristina/Owen baby. I mean, Shonda dangled the carrot. I'm not the type to give up so easily.

6. Fingers crossed!

I will definitely try to get one up for the season finale. At least I'll have plenty of time to do it! Lol.

4. Well, we're assuming she does stay, right? I don't see how the show can operate with the doctors in a gazillion places across the country. And yes, Owen's reaction is probably one of the highlights I'm most looking forward to.

5. I'm not sure if she'll change her mind, either. But you have to wonder what will happen, then. Because there is no easy compromise.

6. Dempsey did indeed sign up for 2 more seasons. So it's between Arizona, Mark, and Lexie. Although, I think I did read somewhere that it isn't Mark. So, really, it's Lexie or Arizona...

1 - Yes. Because I think that for Owen, the question mark had a double meaning a) Will she leave Seattle? 2) Will she leave me? And when he erases her name but leaves the question mark, the answer for both is yes and yes and he is, metaphorically, being forced to erase her from his life, though with a faint hope that maybe, just maybe things will work out anyway or another - this is the men who survived war and PTSD, how can he not have hope. Just a note here: I've seen people discussing to greath lenghts if Cristina said "I'm leaving you" or "I'm leaving Seattle Grace and not you". I understood as Cristina meaning she was leaving him, but maybe I'm wrong. But Owen, and that is the thing, he did understood she was leaving him, as he told Teddy, so my problem with the whole scene is: if Cristina was telling him she was leaving only SG and not him, wouldn't she think he would just assume the worst case scenerio and make things clear? Because he is very sure of the outcome when he talks to Teddy.
2 - The whole process? I'm not sure. Maybe the therapy planted the idea, but I think Nurse Emily was the catalyst - she couldn't face the fear of losing him to someone else. Interesting, I think this was real with Emily than during the triangle from hell, when Teddy was a bigger "treat". And it has slowly building and Meredith pushing her about her choices and how Meredith's mendling in her decisions made her verbalize that no matter what Cristina feels or want, Owen is her person.
3 - I'm really torn about that. Since I believe she meant she was leaving him, it was a very cold farewall. I've rewatched the scene 45234 times and it just doens't work well for me. I think she was going to tell him about going to Mayo, then realized she couldn't stay with him, maybe because she thought about what Meredith said, maybe because she understood what he said in the wrong way. I wish she had been more open to him, more clear.
4 - Well, usually big events put things in perspective for people, but in Grey's there are big events every other week and nothing really change. The plane crash is a plot device to make they stay in Seattle, I think. After the shooting, Cristina had to face the idea of losing her career, with the plane she has to face the idea of losing everything, even people she maybe didn't know she cared about that much, like Lexie or Arizona. I think it should pose the question: I trully had a second chance. What do I want to do with this second chance, and how I want to live my life? But I'm afraid Shonda always falls back in the old carreer x love stuff for Cristina, so who knows. Owen will be in shock first, but I hope we can see him taking charge, using whatever connections he has to find them faster.
5 - In theory? Maybe. But I don't think they are destined to have children. Shonda is pushing her agenda, but agenda or not, there are women who doesn't want to be mothers, not matter how awesome they would be as mothers. I don't have a problem with that, because for me it is more important to see Owe/Cristina being *them* than a baby. Please don't throw the tomatoes.
6 - Lexie looks pretty bad in the promo, but Arizona's little speech to Callie was a huge anvil. One or another, I guess, though I wouldn't be surprised if Lexie/Arizone dies and someone else has severe injures from the crash that affects the ability to be a doctor - Arizona or Derek being paralyzed, for example, would give the characters and their partners ample room for some interesting drama. But I think there has to be a catch there. I feel like maybe someone dies at the hospital, too, or something big happens back in Seattle. I hope we can see a decent Cristina/Owen scene, I really do, but I'm worried Cristina will be too concerned about Meredith/Derek and there others, which will be perfectly understandable. After a seson of pure angst, Shonda should know better and give us not a "big happy bow" - most condescending comment ever - but some real Cristina and Owen.

I love reading your blogs. They are always so thorough, descriptive, very poignant and insightful. Now to the questions.

1. I noticed that too. I think the question mark was there is like how he feels. Should he let her go? Can he? Should he fight for her and try to stop her although he has pretty much stayed on the sidelines. It’s sort of like what should he do? He’s not ready for this to end just yet.

2. I think Cristina started to realize how much he meant to her during the Valentine’s day episode when she was the one to reach out to him. It was further cemented during therapy when he pleaded for her to be his person. The look on her face showed that she didn’t realize what she was doing to him (he’s always been last it seems) and after the therapy she started to notice him more hence her actions when she thought he was having an affair with Emily. Lastly, with her career, he was the only one that didn’t push her. Granted they were not really talking but when they did talk about her career, he was always so supported – in Migration saying “you cannot go wrong with any of the choices” and “she should be proud that Johns Hopkins is recruiting her” in The Girl with No Name.

3. I was so proud of Cristina to realize Owen is her person. It’s about time. As for her going to him, I think she planned on staying or at least still be in the marriage. But after he said he was happy but he knows it doesn’t fix anything, it made her realize that ultimately he still wants a baby and she cannot give that to him. But, I don’t think he meant that. It was more of he knows he betrayed her and it will be a slow road to recovery. I’ll have to say it felt like his heart was slowly mending when she came to him but then she broke it back into a million pieces when she said she was leaving.

4. Owen is going to FREAK OUT when he finds out. From the promos it looks like Cristina injures her arm which may mean she will not be able to operate for a while. This in turn will make her realize that without Owen (love) she will really have nothing. What happens when career is not there? I hope she grasps the notion that you can have both career and love. It doesn’t have to be one over the other.

5. Given Cristina had an abortion which was controversial not to mention she has only 1 fallopian tube, I don’t think SR will introduce another pregnancy for Cristina. But I would like to see a CO baby. Maybe in S9, she will be the one to bring up having a baby so we will know it’s her choice.

6. Cristina and Owen will rebuild after this event. They will both realize that they can’t live without the other and their marriage will be more of a partnership – it’ll be all about compromising. I think Lexie is going to die and Arizona is badly injured. Mark will be devastated emotionally and Derek will be there to help him recover.

1. I have not thought about it. but now that you mention it, I do not really know what to say about it. You could not see if he has removed the question mark in the other names. But maybe he did it to hope and it is perhaps his way of keeping hope alive. I like the scene, it was beautiful with Owen´s evident pain in face and a short clip of Cristina in the plane. I could see that she wondered to herself if she has made the right choice.
2. I think it started work up for her after therapy. She understood well that she has listened and gone to too much at Meredith, although Owen was her husband and lover.
3. I am myself just as confused like Owen. But I think Cristina remembered (Elevator love letter) that the sex could help her to decide and see clearly/truth. In Elevator love letter, she realized that her limit is reached after the sex. It is almost the same here but I'm not sure if she has not made her choice before the sex. Maybe she wanted to have one last moment of happiness with Owen. But I see it like a sign that they're going to a reunion. Maybe not now but later.
4. I'm sure that someone in the plane crash will die so I think that death will affect Cristina much. And perhaps make her realize that life is short and start thinking about maybe giving what Owen wants. I longing also to Owen's reaction about Cristina´s plane have crashed. I really love Owen´s reaction when he realized that Cristina is still in hospital so I hope that it becomes something like it.
5. Yes. Although Cristina don´t think so, I think that Cristina can be very good mother to her own way and Owen would be an amazing father. She need only realized it. Truth is, I think that Shonda have some plans for CO in season 9, maybe a baby like a growth.
6. I don´t think Mark died, he looks to be undamaged and I saw 00:16 in the promo Mark hugs Cristina. Maybe for comfort after Lexie or Arizona. I will not try to guess what will happen with Cristina and Owen in the epsiodes. But I think it will be very happy for all of us fans CO.

P.S Shli, thank you so much, I know that you are very busy so I am very grateful. I really need it.
